Lavup Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Lavup, your dedicated personal fragrance memory and collection app. This Privacy Policy outlines our approach to data handling, built around our core promise to put your privacy first. Unlike most apps, Lavup is designed with zero social feeds, no mandatory account systems, and no unnecessary data collection - our entire product is built to let you document your scent journey without compromising your privacy.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be extremely clear: Lavup does not collect, upload, or store any of your personal data or app content on external servers. 100% of the content you create within the app remains stored locally on your personal device at all times, including:

• Photos of fragrance bottles you capture or upload from your album
• Entries made via the Golden Swirl multi-dimensional rating system (notes, longevity, sillage, and personal impressions)
• Your Wearing History logs and scent preference data
• Custom Moodboards you create for occasions, vibes, or personal memories
• Wishlist entries, priority tags, and saved purchase links
• Any other personal notes or content you add to your collection

We do not require you to create an account to use Lavup. Any permissions you grant (camera access, photo library access) are only used to enable local functionality within the app, and we never transmit files you access through these permissions to external servers.

You may optionally choose to submit anonymous crash reports to help us fix app bugs. These reports never include any of your stored fragrance content or personal identifiable information.

3. How We Use Your Information

Because we never receive or store any of your personal app content on our servers, we cannot, and will not, use, share, sell, or rent any of your personal fragrance data for any purpose. All data processing happens exclusively on your local device, and we have no ability to access the content you save within Lavup.

4. Data Storage & Security

All your Lavup content is protected by your device's built-in system-level encryption, and remains stored only on your personal hardware. We do not operate any cloud sync services for Lavup data, so your content never leaves your device unless you choose to manually export or share it yourself.

You are responsible for backing up your Lavup data via your device's own backup tools (local storage backups, third-party cloud backup services you personally use). Data lost due to device damage, loss, or uninstallation of the app cannot be recovered by our team, as we never hold copies of your content.

You may delete all Lavup data stored on your device at any time by uninstalling the app, or by deleting individual entries directly within the app interface.

5. Third-Party Access

Lavup does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising tracking, or data harvesting SDKs. We never share user data with third parties, for the simple reason that we never collect user data in the first place.

If you choose to manually share content you created in Lavup with external platforms, services, or individuals, any data you share will be subject to the privacy policies of those third parties, and we hold no responsibility for their handling of your data.

6. Your Control Over Your Data

You retain full, unrestricted control over all content you save in Lavup, with no need to request access or deletion permissions from our team:

• Edit, add, or delete any collection entries, ratings, logs, moodboards, or wishlist items at any time directly within the app
• Export your full collection data to your local device storage whenever you choose
• Permanently erase all Lavup data from your device by uninstalling the app

7. Updates to This Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect new app features or updated privacy practices. We will notify you of any changes via an in-app announcement, and the updated policy will include a new effective date. Your continued use of Lavup after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
